United Trade Action Group Ltd 'UTAG' has been formed by Licensed Taxi Drivers to manage a legal process against Transport for London, Uber and any other party who seek to harm the trade.  We are in the process of raising funds to pay for a series of legal challenges to save the Licensed Taxi.

  • To Judicially Review any decisions that we consider to have an unjust impact on the Taxi trade.

    • 1. UTAG have made an application to Judicially Review TfL's decision to refuse Uber a new Private Hire Operators License, on the basis that they should have revoked or suspended the current license as Uber are not a fit and proper company to hold one.

    • 2. UTAG have made an application to become an Interested Party in the forthcoming licensing appeal hearing of Uber before Westminster Magistrates Court. UTAG's application is before the court and the senior magistrate shall decide on 27th Feb 2020 whether she shall accept interested parties.

  • To hold Transport for London to account under multiple causes of action including its failure to regulate the statutory regime.

  • To hold Uber to account under multiple causes of action including economic torts and the interference of the trade's exclusive right to ply for hire.
